Ruto can sell State House if elected president, MP Kutuny claims

Cherangany member of parliament Joshua Kutuny has escalated his attacks on deputy president William Ruto.

The MP has said there is no way he can support or campaign for someone who is mentioned in corruption scandals day and night. He added that by doing so people will see him as a confused person.

He told his constituents that even in 2017 when he vied for the Cherangany constituency seat he had to be polite and avoid mentioning the name of the deputy president like a plague and that’s why he was elected.

He added that deputy president William Ruto cannot be trusted by Kenyans with presidency. He cited occasions where Ruto has been undermining president Uhuru Kenyatta’s efforts to fight corruption in the country.

He wondered how Ruto, who is second in command, could say that Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) were being used to fight him (Ruto). “Are you in government or you are in opposition?” Kutuny posed.

The MP urged president Uhuru Kenyatta to stay alert while dealing with his deputy Ruto because his aim is to undermine his (Uhuru) development agenda.

Kutuny said that he will continue being a member of the team that is supporting the president’s development agenda and the building bridges between the president and ODM Party leader Raila Odinga. The team is popularly known as KITAELEWEKA.

The MP ended his speech by joking that if Ruto is elected president he will sell State House.
