Kitui Deputy Governor Dr. Wathe Nzau has called on Kitui residents to tap the opportunity of the ongoing Huduma Namba registration and be part of the national programme launched by President Kenyatta recently.
Speaking at Endau in Kitui East today during the burial ceremony of the late Michael John, the Deputy Governor said the registration was a key initiative that deserved participation by all residents.
“Let all our people register in the ongoing exercise. The data will determine resource allocation from the national government” he said.
Noting the increasing number of residents who have benefited from the subsidized tractor ploughing programme, Wathe said the plan was informed by the need to eliminate food shortage and mechanize farming in the county – saying the idea was timely.
Also in attendance were Kitui East MP Hon. Nimrod Mbai, DCC Kitui Central Jackson Ole Chuta, DCC Galbatura (Isiolo County) Victor Kamonde, Acting DCC Mutitu Sub County Micah Odoro, MCA Endau-Malalani Ward Hon Grace Sammy, Kitui East, and Kitui Central Sub County Administrators Daniel Munyoto and Stephen Ngesu respectively.
