People say Ruto Killed Yebei,Msando,Jacob Juma,but I didn’t say so because I don’t have evidence-Atwoli hits back

Trade Unions boss Francis Atwoli has fired back at deputy president William Samoei Ruto and his allies led by Kapseret member of parliament Oscar Sudi.

Atwoli made it clear that he didn’t mean that deputy president William Samoei Ruto will be dead before 2022 elections as some of his (Ruto) allies have been going rounds claiming.

He slammed Ruto allies for alleging that he (Atwoli) was involved in the murder of former Kabete member of parliament George Muchai who was  murdered alongside his two bodyguards – police constables Samuel Kimathi and Samuel Lekakeny – and his driver Stephen Ituu on the night of February 6, 2015, on Kenyatta Avenue in Nairobi County. Muchai was Francis Atwoli’s deputy in Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU).

Atwoli added that it was wrong for them to revive that matter as those who were suspected to have been involved in the murder were arrested and charged.

He alleged that people have been saying that Ruto was involved in the murder of ICC witness Meshack Yebei, former IEBC Director of ICT Chris Msando and businessman Jacob Jumwa. But since he (Atwoli) got no evidence, said he has never made such allegations.

The COTU secretary general also attacked Ruto for calling him a witch doctor saying when he(Ruto) was in ICC he (Atwoli) personally went with his wife and gave the DP a rosary. Was the rosary from a witch doctor? Atwoli posed.

He claimed that God confused Ruto as he made the allegations and quoted a verse which doesn’t exist in the Bible.

While responding to Atwoli,DP Ruto mistakenly quoted Matthew 6:35 which doesn’t exist in the Bible instead of Matthew 6:33.

Ruto was responding to Atwoli for saying his(Ruto) name will not be on the ballot paper come 2022.

Addressing faithful at the Salvation Army Citadel in Kakamega County, DP Ruto described Atwoli’s remarks as witchcraft and asked the congregation to pray for him so that he can seek the kingdom of God first.

“In this country right now, the contest is between two groups; those who believe in God and those who believe in witchcraft. When you hear someone saying that he has been told by witch-doctors that a certain person will be on the ballot and the other will not… it tells you a lot about where the country is right now.

“But just pray for such people so that they can seek the kingdom of God first and stop these other things messing up the country, ” said DP Ruto.

Atwoli maintained that DP Ruto will not be in the next government.

He was speaking at Kakeani village, Kakeani Location, Kitui west sub-county in Kitui county at the funeral ceremony of the late Justus Mulei Velle.

Among those present at the burial of Justus Mulei Velle were Wiper leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Kitui Senator Kiio Wambua, area MP Edith Nyenze, Joel Chebii-COTU vice chair, former MPs Agnes Ndetei, Benard Kitungi, James Nyamweya among others.
