Kitui county is set to benefit from economic partnership with the government of Hungary

The 5th pillar of Kitui county governor Ngilu’s development priorities, wealth creation, is well underway through strategic investments and partnerships that the County is making.

A fusion of proper infrastructure, modern technology, targeted training in production and value chain addition will help catalyze efficiency, improve quality as well as increase quantities therefore making Kitui a competitive production center.

In Ngilu’s quest to ensure that Kitui benefits from strategic partnerships, she held a successful consultative meeting with the Ambassador of Hungary, H.E. Laszlo Mathe.

In attendance were Mr Zsolt Meszaros-Head of Economic Section and Mr Tamas Sandor Robert – Deputy Head of Economic Section.

The Government of Hungary has agreed to support the development of the livestock industry. They will support the setting up of an abattoir in Kitui county

A delegation headed by the Head of the Economic Section will soon visit Kitui to establish the most suitable areas for the abattoir.

Governor Ngilu said they are happy for this development and they look forward to a fruitful partnership with the Government of Hungary.
