Governor Mutua to host President Kenyatta tomorrow in Machakos county

Machakos governor Alfred Mutua said today the stage was set for the launch of the national identity management system (NIIMS) tomorrow by president Uhuru Kenyatta.

Mutua was speaking at Masii high school in Mwala sub county after inspecting the progress made along with state house officials ahead of tomorrow’s function where the huduma namba project kicks off.
According to the interior ministry,NIIMS will merge all key government identity data documents into one.
The exercise is aimed at having one central point which will serve as the single source of truth on someone’s identity for enhanced service delivery.
Mutua told Machakos residents and other Kenyans to turn out in big numbers to witness the historical event which will revolutionize service delivery in the public sector.
The Machakos county chief was accompanied by county commissioner Esther Maina and regional commissioner Isiah Nakoru.

“We are delighted to be hosting H.E. the President Uhuru Kenyatta in Masii tomorrow, for the launch of the Huduma Number (NIIMS).

Hosting the launch of NIIMS is a great recognition and also a vote of confidence in our County and it’s leadership .

We do not take this noble gesture for granted.

The National Intergrated Identity Management System(NIIMS) will bring with it great convenience and align government processes for more efficiency.

This is a great step in the right direction as we aspire to improve government services to members of the public.

Together with the Regional commissioner, Mr. Isaiah Nakoru ,County Commisioner Ms. Esther Maina, Mwala MP , Hon. Eng. Vincent Musyoka and the local leadership, we have inspected all arrangements in anticipation of a successful event and invite you all, to be part of this historic moment.

The Machakos County, and the entire Ukambani leadership will be present, representing our people and united in one cause of providing better services to the wananchi.
