Malindi member of parliament Aisha Jumwa on Saturday unleashed attacks directed to Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho.
Speaking at a women’s empowerment programme in Mogotio, Baringo County, the MP told the residents to never take the Mombasa governor serious when he talks as he sometimes speaks under influence of drugs.
Jumwa was referring to governor Joho’s remarks in Lamu county at a fundraiser where Joho said if deputy president William Ruto is not corrupt he should not undermine president Uhuru Kenyatta’s efforts of ensuring that the corrupt are dealt with accordingly.
During his speech, the Mombasa governor said a thief is a thief and has no other name. He was referring to DP Ruto.
Ms. Jumwa whose relationship with the Mombasa governor started deteriorating once she joined the Ruto camp, added that Kenya has a shortage of fools and come 2022 Kenyans will decide who will be their president.
She also answered trade unions boss Francis Atwoli for saying that the name of deputy president William Ruto will not be on the ballot paper come 2022. She told him to declare his presidential ambitions if he(Atwoli) feels that he can compete with Ruto and stop “yelling” in harambees.
