Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has rubbished social media reports that earlier today he visited Deputy President William Ruto at his home in Karen, Nairobi.

Kenyans on social media earlier today were treated to rumors that the Senator arrived in Karen in the morning hours and engaged in a closed-door meeting with the deputy president.

The propagators of the rumors shared old pictures of the Baringo Senator with DP Ruto.

On learning of the rumors, Mr. Moi rushed to Facebook made it clear that he did not visit Ruto. He added that he spent the day with his father, former President Daniel Moi in Kabarak.

“The social media has been awash with photos purporting that I was at a certain Karen home. The information is not true but propaganda by a wing of the political divide desperate to hoodwink Kenyans. I have been home in Kabarak since yesterday spending quality time with H.E Mzee,” posted Gideon Moi.
